ERIC ALEXANDER MCAUGHEY
November 28, 1985 - December 16, 2020
Suddenly at his residence in British Columbia, Eric passed away. He is mourned by his parents Brian and Anne, brothers Brent and Kevin, uncle Bruce and auntie Heather, special cousin Meghan, and many other close relatives and friends.
Eric was born in Winnipeg, grew up in St. Vital and graduated from Dakota Collegiate. During those years he had many interests. His time at the cottage developed into a passion for fishing and water skiing. He was active in many sports and was a member of two Canadian junior ultimate frisbee teams that competed at the world championships. One of those teams won a gold metal in Riga, Latvia.
Eric was independent and adventurous. He worked for a season at Sunshine Village honing his snowboarding skills. He attended university in British Columbia and subsequently traveled and worked across Western Canada.
Eric was a beautiful person with a gentle disposition and had a love for all animals. His warm smile was a treasure.
